Accorging to Wednesday's executive meeting of the State Council, China has suspended the approval process for nuclear power stations so that safety standards can be revised after the explosion at a Japanese plant.
Besides, the State Council has required relevant departments to do safety checkes at the existing nuclear plants.
Japanese nuclear crisis caused a lot attentions of nuclear safety in the world, some european countries are considering of decline the number of nuclear plants. The European Union (EU) would conduct "stress tests" on its member states' nuclear power plants.
